Renewable Energy: International Perspectives on SustainabilityRenewable energy is one of the world strongest growing industries; more than 100 countries have developing sustainable energy policies. Renewable energy resources are projected to be one of the major economic engines of the coming decades. Denmark, for example, aims for 100 percent renewable energy by 2050. The renewable energy laws are still developing. There are many renewable energy incentives and programs: personal income tax credits and deductions, corporate income tax incentives, such as tax credits, deductions, and exemptions, local property tax programs, sales and use tax programs, non-business energy property credits, and alternative motor vehicle tax credits. When we discuss renewable energy, we should take many issues into consideration. This interdisciplinary edited volume investigates economic factors of renewable energy use and introduces social acceptance of renewable energy innovation. This edited collection aims to strike a balance between a broad and professional audience. This work will also discuss the history of the renewable energy development and briefly describe the physical and technological foundations of sustainable energy generations. It is important to support and promote dialogue about alternative possibilities for energy sources and discuss problems and obstacles.
